Hey y’all sorry about the whole being a ghost and not posting a lot. I promise it’s not you, it’s me 😉

Basically the reason for my lack of posting is once again there isn’t much going on round these parts lately. I checked back through some of my photos and I realized that I had done some things a while ago and forgot to post them, so I’ll be posting them soon.

One thing I think I have mentioned several times that I was going to post was the food that I have been eating and such and on multiple occasions I have failed to do so, so I will rectify it immediately. Please keep in mind that at any given moment I didn’t exactly know what I was eating so keep that in mind if I don’t know what it is. I will give comments and feedback on what I ate when applicable.

So during our May Holiday all of the food we ate was what the politically correct ones referred to as, “The food we would never order” and the not so PC ones refered to as, “Dog Food”. With every meal there was always something that I found edible, and for the most part was pretty decent, but there were some meals that were simple barf

mmmmmm, those balls were delicious!

A general shot of the table. Most of this meal was quite good.

Hey everyone,

So I’m pretty sure that most of you, if not all of you, have at some point stopped at a truck stop on the side of the highway. Gone to the bathroom, grabbed some food, gassed up and continued about your trip. Well they have those in China too, they’re just a lot smaller.

Hey everyone,

So as I said in the title, I went to the Chinese equivalent to Hollywood. The place is called 横店HengDian (pronounced Hung Dien). It’s a actually pretty cool concept when you think about it. You know how in America if they want to film something in New York they just go to New York? Or they need to film in Miami, they film there. Well rather than incurring all of these massive costs of moving all around the Chinese country to film shows, they just built a fake everything in HengDian. They have a fake forbidden city, they have fake Shanghai streets, the have fake castles and courtyards and everything a movie could need. It’s pretty cool…at least I thought so.

It was raining most of the day that we were there, but we still got to see lots of cool stuff.

Hey all,

So maybe a day later than I anticipated, but I was…what’s the politically correct way of saying super lazy yesterday…? Oh…how does motivationally deficient sound?

That being said, on the day that I climbed a mountain I was certainly not lazy. In fact it was quite a challenge and quite a lot of walking but it was so worth it. I swear to you climbing a mountain is something I’m really starting to enjoy doing just because it is enjoyable. The views, the smells, the sense of exploration – everything about it is just so much fun.

The name of the mountain is DaCiYan (大慈岩 pronounced Da See Yan).

…is anyone still there?

I know every time I make a post I apologize for having it be like 2 weeks to a month since I last posted, but really it’s been pretty boring…for the most part.

Around the last week of April to the first week of May there is a Labour Day holiday here in China. Basically we get 3 days off and our school decided to organize a trip to a few ancient cities, a mountain and a cave. I took lots of pictures from all of the outings and I will be posting them all, spread out over the next few weeks, in order to attempt to provide a source of Justin material over time, rather than one massive post.

That being said, I’m gonna start this off saying GO HABS GO! I say this on the heels of us getting just humiliated at Scotia Bank last night 6-1, but still, I may be on the other side of the world, but I’m still rooting for you guys.
